MINNEAPOLIS – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) will showcase its large portfolio of products suitable for oil and gas applications at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston May 4-7. In addition, experts from Honeywell Sensing and Control will be on hand to demonstrate the full product portfolio.
Key products to be featured in Honeywell’s Booth #5023 include:
Limitless™ Wireless Solutions
Honeywell Limitless™ Wireless products provide the same high quality performance people have come to expect from Honeywell’s MICRO SWITCH™ products, but they are able to do everything wirelessly. This product line uses the latest commercial wireless technology and continues to expand to new products across the Honeywell portfolio. The Limitless™ Series is beneficial for remote monitoring applications where wiring or maintenance is not possible. One of these applications is in safety shower and eye wash alarm solutions. In a large manufacturing or factory setting, this Limitless™ solution allows for people to be notified whenever a safety shower or eye wash is activated, sending out a wireless alarm so emergency personnel can be notified easily. The three key benefits to utilizing safety shower solutions include rapid emergency response, improved OSHA and ANSI compliance tracking through time stamped recordings of testing and improved incident recording through PLC time stamping of incidents.
Wing Union/Hammer Union Pressure Sensors - Models 435/437
Honeywell’s Models 435/437 Wing Union/Hammer Union Pressure Sensors are rugged devices designed for use with Weco® 1502 fittings for both offshore and land-based oil and gas mud pumping and drilling applications.
These sensors feature an all-welded one piece design with Inconel® X-750 wetted parts for additional durability with abrasive or corrosive media and a caged option to better protect the connector during installation and hammer up. The Model 435 is available in two accuracy levels (±0.1 %FSS BFSL or ±0.2 %FSS BFSL), while the Model 437 is available with or ±0.2 %FSS BFSL accuracy and a wider aperture for use with thicker, more viscous mud blends. Both models offer an intrinsically safe option and have CFMUS/ATEX/IEC Ex certification as required.
PX2 Series Heavy Duty Pressure Transducers
Honeywell PX2 Series Heavy Duty Pressure Transducers are highly configurable pressure sensors using piezoresistive sensing technology with ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) signal conditioning in a stainless steel housing. New pressure ranges are now available from 15 psi up to 667 psi, 1 Bar up to 46 Bar, or 100kPA up to 4.6 Mpa. These new pressure ranges are ideal to support both high and low pressure requirements, including those higher pressure industrial oil and gas applications.
Model S Series Subminiature Pressure Transducers
Featuring 1% accuracy, Honeywell Sensing and Control’s Model S Series of subminiature pressure transducers fit into tight spaces with little clearance, and accurately measure pressure ranges from 100 psi to 15000 psi. These rugged transducers are designed to handle high pressure and temperatures, with a high natural frequency and flush diaphragm for applications such as engine and transmission test stands, pressure brake testing, and hydraulic sensor testing.
Hazardous Location Switches
The operating conditions of hazardous locations have an added dimension of safety that must be considered when it comes to choosing a desired product. Honeywell has a complete family of hazardous area limit and safety switches which take the potential environmental effects into consideration to promote safe functionality.
