Special Applications
Honeywell offers a variety of load cells adaptable for special applications in automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, and other industries.
Many of these products started off as modifications to existing products or non proprietary custom requests and became so popular, we decided to offer them to all of our customers.
Just a few examples of the types of applications these load cells have been used for include high output testing, brake pedal force testing, seat belt load monitoring and testing, x-y force testing, and many others.
Do you have a special application where you just can’t seem to find the right load cell? Contact us to discuss a modification to one of our current products or about a complete custom design to fit your unique requirements.
Features
- Special application load cells for component and system testing in automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, and many other industries
- Load ranges from 50 lbs up to 2000 lbs, depending on model

Honeywell’s X-Y force sensor is constructed of two strain gage bridges mounted at 90° and isolated by a flexure system.
The complete two-component system, including flexures, is machined from one specially prepared metal billet to provide unusual structure strength and to minimize crosstalk between the two transducers.
This unique sensor has excellent linearity characteristics and maximum structure life.

More X-Y Force Can't Find What You're Looking For? Let Us Help Honeywell’s pedal pressure load cell sensor mounts directly to the brake pedal with its own mounting clamp. Load forces can be applied up to ½ inch off center while producing less than a 0.5% error. Load capacities range from 50 lb up to 300 lb (standard capacity).
This load cell, which is used for brake pedal force measurements by the automotive industry, finds many production applications. It can be adapted to any of the pedal or bar operated devices used in almost any production facility.
Think this might be what you need for your application, but want some additional features? Ask about our custom engineering capabilities.
More Pedal Can't Find What You're Looking For? Let Us Help Honeywell’s seat belt sensor’s design and calibration method essentially make it independent of belt thickness, which may change under load.
Developed originally for the automotive industry, this sensor provides excellent repeatability without the need for the extensive belt wrap.
Need something similar to this for your particular industry or application? Many of our sensors were custom developed for one application and became so popular that we offer it as a regular item. Contact us with your special needs today. More Seat Belt Can't Find What You're Looking For? Let Us Help Honeywell’s high output load cells feature a bonded semiconductor strain gage and are engineered to measure loads from 500 lbs lbs to 2000 lbs with 30 mV/V or 70 mV/V minimum output.
Constructed of stainless steel, these load cells provide high performance in non-linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability with low mechanical deflection to allow for better response capability.

You must use quotation marks when searching order codes. Start with the base order code and range & then add option codes to further reduce the search.
For example: “AL111” will yield the most results. “AL111BN,1A,2U” will start to narrow the search
-
Use the * symbol at the end of a word, part number, partial part number or model number. This will create a wildcard search.
For example: Entering 366* will bring up Model 366 and Model 3663 as well as specific part numbers which contain 366 within the part number.
-
Enter AND (no quote marks) between search terms. This will locate the exact phrase which contains all of the words referenced.
For example: Entering Subminiature AND Load will bring up all products which have BOTH words in the product description.
-
Enter “OR” (with quote marks) between search terms to find products with either word in the description.
For Example: Entering Miniature “OR” Subminiature will bring up all products which have EITHER word in the product spelling
-
When searching by product family or category, try navigating through the product menu via the navigation button on the top left of the website. Or use the Find-A-Solution button from the home page.
